RecMusicians Pro Agenda FAQ

Here are the questions we hear most about RecMusicians Pro Agenda. If yours isn't here, write to us from the contact page.

General

What is RecMusicians Pro Agenda?

An online calendar for bands and musicians. Use it to organize rehearsals, performances, recording sessions and travel, see who's in the group, share files and send private notes between bandmates. Each feature is explained in how it works.

Who is it for?

Any group that needs to coordinate schedules: cover and original bands, orchestras, worship teams, choirs, mariachi and folk ensembles, session musicians and producers working with several artists.

How much does it cost?

It's free. It is funded by advertising on the site's content pages, like these guides. The calendar screens show no ads.

Who makes it?

It's produced by Lic. Richard Javier, Transport and Logistics Engineer, with Clayton López as co-author, singer and producer. More on the About page.

Installing and language

Do I need an app store?

No. It's a progressive web app (PWA): it runs in the browser and you can install it to your home screen. On iPhone, open the page in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". On Android, open Chrome's menu and choose "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".

Which languages does it support?

Spanish and English. Switch with the selector at the top. All guides are available in both languages.

Does it work on a computer?

Yes, in any modern browser on Windows, macOS or Linux, as well as phones and tablets.

Account and groups

Do I need an account?

To share the calendar with your band, yes. Sign up with email and password and confirm your email with the link we send. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.

How do I join my band's group?

Ask the organizer for the group code and enter it in the join option. Share the code only with band members.

Can I be in several groups?

Yes. That's common for musicians who play in more than one project. Each group has its own calendar.

What are roles?

Each member has a role that sets their permissions in the group, shown as a badge next to their photo, so everyone knows who organizes and who takes part.

What does the green dot mean?

That person is using the app right now. If they're offline, you'll see how long ago they were active.

Privacy and security

Who can see my private notes?

Only the sender and the recipient. Private notes, PDFs and voice notes are protected by database access rules so the rest of the group can't see them.

Is my phone number shared?

Only if you choose to add it to your musician card. It's optional.

How is my data protected?

We handle data under Panama's Law 81 of 2019 on Personal Data Protection and use providers with encryption in transit. Details are in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Write to us from the contact page with your account email and we'll delete your data, except anything the law requires us to keep.

Everyday use

Does it work offline?

The app opens offline with the latest information saved on your phone. To see new changes or create appointments you need a connection.

Can I attach charts or the setlist?

Yes. You can attach files to any appointment and send private PDFs to a bandmate. For ideas on ordering your repertoire, read how to build a setlist.

Why are there a "call time" and a "start time"?

Because they're different: call time is when you need to arrive to set up and sound check; start time is when the music begins. Separating them prevents delays. More tips in how to run productive rehearsals.

Does the app handle payments or contracts?

It doesn't process payments or generate contracts, but you can keep the agreed details and share documents. See our guides how to budget a gig and basic contracts for musicians.

I found a bug. What should I do?

Write to us with a screenshot, your phone model and browser. It really helps us fix it quickly.
